Moving into a new chapter, the journey involved starting fresh with a new vehicle. Using the existing 3D drawings, we fixed and perfected every detail for a flawless design. After a thoroughly documented 10-month process, the 3D file matched exactly with the physical product.
With confidence in our professional drawings, we considered collaborating with a production partner to make the handcrafted kit on a larger scale. The dream of creating an IKEA-like package for self-building started to come true. Finding the best material and finishing for the premium quality we are pursuing for the kit has been a journey by itself. However, we have successfully achieved the exact look and feel we were seeking to maintain the crafted design.

High-End Camper Conversion VW Transporter 5.1 L2H1 2.0TDi | Designed by The Vancrafters The Vancrafters is proud to present its Premium Signature CamperVan build, a breathtaking one-off VW Transporter 5.1 HighLine L2H1 fully handcrafted in Amsterdam. Over 230 wood pieces combining spruce, pine, and marine plywood, all of them carved with the highest attention to detail, making elegance meet functionality seamlessly in a timeless design. Integrally covered with Epifanes® the highest quality of marine paint and varnish systems on the market and respecting the full layers applications during a 3 months process, it is safe to say that the interior receives life-lasting protection against the elements. Preserving the van's bodyshell from being drilled, the wooden interior is integrally maintained via blind nuts on the factory holes, ensuring a strong overtime holding and a rugged interior that is prepared to carry its occupants wherever they might desire to go. Additionally, it makes the interior fully dismantlable if necessary. Directly inspired by the yachting world where symmetry brings elegance weight balance and equal storage volume. The blend of 1st quality materials and its finishings reminisce more of a classic wooden yacht than a camper van, projecting their occupant into a cocoon and traveling feeling from the moment they jump onboard. Developed for a duo traveling or a single adventurer, The Vancrafters® set-up has been designed in a way to optimize all storage, which stays accessible at all times. There is no need to move things around or convert a couch into a bed (which is offering a comfy mattress!) after a beautiful driving day. As good news never comes alone, both extremities of the bed can be lifted, offering a cozy seat inside with friends (up to 4 persons comfortably when all swivels are turned) or a longue seat towards sunset, as all inclinations have 6 adjustable levels.
